This saddle was custom made by Nick Pernokas, of Stephensville, TX. He and his wife have a saddlery and a website if you want to check them out. The saddle seems really well made. I like everything about it, but we bought it for my wife and she stayed with dressage. The saddle is very comfortable and rides smaller than it measures, like it’s a 15” or 15 ½ even though the tape shows something around 16”. It worked well for my wife but it’s just a little snug for me. My wife is 5’ 4”, 112lbs. and I’m 5’ 9”, 175 lbs and ride a 16". Look at the pictures and see what you think. The padded seat is comfortable and looks stained, although I think that’s a coating that was on the seat and has worn through to the soft, rough out leather. I think it’s purely cosmetic, and I imagine that something could be done to darken it if you want, or the seat could be replaced, but it rides really well just the way it is. I think that the saddle is in good condition for a well used saddle. At one time the stirrup leathers were cut shorter, but there’s still lots of length left. Please look closely at all the pictures as I’ve tried to show everything that might be a problem with the saddle. Due to the size and weight I’ll ship UPS so you’ll need a physical address not a Post Office Box. I’m not an expert. Judge from the pictures and ask questions. I’ll do my best.
