Offered for sale is a very Early Coleman lantern. If you are a collector, tune out for the following info. When Coleman began manufacturing lanterns in 1919/1920 they only stamped a patent on it with no name. As they progressed you will see this same style with a smooth bottom that matched the sides. Slightly after that, they even put their name on the bottom. If you look closely at the bottom is how you tell how early of a lantern this is. The earliest was soldered.I know nothing of the shade. It may be original, it may not be. I am including it because it came with the lantern when I bought it as did the pump. *The seals in the pump will need replaced since it does not build pressure. Could not test lantern as a result of the pump not working.Ask anything and you will get an honest reply.
