The X1 Raid is the smallest and lightest of our single-skin tent range. Although it is a conventional 2-pole, Bibler-style bivouac tent, what sets it apart from the competition is our new, and quite unique, X-tex fabric. We are hesitant to call the X-tex fabric revolutionary – it still has limitations – but it does present significant improvements and advantages over the existing PTFE-type breathable membrane fabrics that are currently used.There are subtleties in the X1 Raid’s design that are not immediately evident to the eye, however. The poles are inserted through external pole sleeves, making it quicker and easier to pitch.
