Up for auction, and your consideration, is this Canadian Coleman Model 635 Single Mantle Lantern! Coleman Ltd made the Moeel 635 lantern for the brief span of 1970 to 1975. The model is rated at 550 candlepower, 50 more cp than it's predecessor, the Model 236. The 635 in this auction was made in February of 1971. For being 46 years old, it is in very nice condition! The nickel plating is excellent with a couple of very minor blemishes. The vent is perfect with no chips. The globe is a No. 660 Coleman red letter and made in the USA. The lantern has been cleaned. The pump leather has been oiled. A new 1111 Coleman mantle was installed and the lantern was filled with Coleman liquid fuel. The lantern was pumped up and tested. It works as good as it looks! Here is a chance to own a lantern made in a short production run and a really nice example of the era.   Please see additional photos:
PACKING: We pack your items the same way we would want to receive them. That is, we pack to minimize any chance of breakage. Lanterns are disassembled of globe, vent and bail handle. The globe is bubble wrapped and then placed in a coffee can or separate carton before being placed in the shipping carton. All other pieces are bubble wrapped and all voids are packed with suitable light weight material so all parts are immobilized inside the shipping carton. Fuel will be emptied from all lanterns & stove before shipping!     SHIPPING: We use USPS and UPS Ground for the majority of our domestic shipping. International shipping is via Priority Mail International. Of course, if your item is within First Class weight limitations, we will ship First Class Mail, both international and domestic.
