Up for auction, and your consideration, is this Coleman Model 200A Lantern! The Coleman Company made the Model 200A from 1951 until 1983. During production, a few changes were made. Early 200As were painted green with red vents. In late 1961 into early 1962, the 200A was a burgundy color. The one in this auction was made in November of 1962 and it has a very vibrant shade of cherry red! This lantern has very nice original paint. The vent is perfect with no chips. The burner frame has been cleaned and looks like it just came off the showroom floor. The original box (included in auction) has done a great job of protecting this lantern over the years. It really looks like it may have been used in the early days of it's life and then put away for about 50 years! The lantern has a new fuel cap gasket. The pump leather was a bit dry and was oiled. The lantern was fueled up and pumped up. When the valve wheel is opened, there is the familiar hiss and gurgle of a working lantern. This 200A retains it's original red letter Pyrex globe. This lantern would make a very nice display piece or it could be used as intended at you next camp outing. Please see additional photos:
