Description Brand: Thermos Type: Picnic set for 6 Country/Region of Manufacture: United States UPC: Does not apply
Awesome old Thermos picnic set. It remains just as found. We have not made any attempts to clean it or restore it. The outside leather case measures 23" long x 15" wide x 6" thick. It contains 6 porcelain plates & 5 porcelain cups (missing one). They are white with blue trim and were made by Ker of Sweden. There are 6 spoons, 6 knives and 6 forks all made of Nickel Silver. There are 2 Quart size Thermos bottles. They are broken but complete. It has a set of glass salt and pepper shakers and 2 glass storage jars that are intact. There is a metal container for ice to keep food cold. It has 2 compartments and measures 14" long x 8 1/2" wide x 4" thick. There are also 2 "Snap-Tite lever action bottle stoppers that were made by Moeller Mfg. Co. in Racine Wisconsin. Now for the fun stuff. It is not in real good shape but there is a Thermos brochure that shows their product line and has the prices. My favorite item in this set is a receipt from the Royal Neighbors of America Campgrounds. Member Jessie Ratcliff from Casper Wyoming paid .95 cents for a spot at the camp located in Rock Island Illinois on January 28 1935. This set has seen a lot of miles and is not perfect but it is still a great and very hard to find item. If you have any questions we will do our best to answer them. Thanks so much.
