I am selling a Katadyn Expedition Water filter in very good (excellent?) condition. It was used on a total of 3 Grand Canyon & 1 Yukon River multi-day rafting trips over a 3 year period. After each use, it was carefully washed and dried before storage. I’d estimate that the ceramic filter has at least 85% of its useful life left, but frankly that is a bit of a wild guess. (I am also including a (brand new) replacement 1040 filter and a (brand new) handle & check valve and misc (new) parts.) The current retail on the Katadyn Expedition filter and all of the parts (see below) is in the range of $1450 - $1700, depending on where you look on the web. I am starting the eBay biding at $625. This how Katadyn describes their Expedition Filter: “A group on the move needs a water source it can count on. The Katadyn Expedition is just that. As indestructible as it gets, the Expedition is as easy to use as it is to pack along. If the shipping ends up being less than the above price, I will refund the difference to the buyer’s PayPal account. If the buyer is from Canada or other international addresses, any extra shipping charges will be paid by the buyer.
