If you have any other questions please feel free to ask. Gharing Non-typical Static Limb Recurve
Static Limb is an age-old design brought up to date with fiberglass and laminations.
·         Design – The static limb stores more energy at full draw than a working limb, because the limb tips do not uncurl, making this design a very hard hitting bow.  This limb design has a low brace height allowing the string to travel longer with the arrow and transfer more energy to the arrow making a fast, hard hitting bow.   It is also much easier to string and unstring, you will be less likely to twist a limb or break a tip.   ·         Benefits – The benefits of the static limb are smoothness, no hand shock, and very quiet with the right string gaining only 2 ½ pounds per inch.  This design keeps the string angle low which keeps the bow from stacking.  The static limb design allows for more energy to be stored and stack less compared to a full working limb.  A quiet bow is very important in close hunting quarters.   ·         Speed – The speed from this design is about 212 feet per second (depending on release) with a 540-grain arrow.  With the speed cast and flatter shooting goes altogether using a B-50 string, and shoots heavy arrows with no problems.   Gharing Custom Bows is a one-man operation in charge of quality control from start to finish.  Each bow is made by hand with close attention to detail and final shape.  All bows are finished with a dull epoxy finish to give the wood a very tough and natural look.   Takedown Construction All risers are of laminated construction with an accent strip and core-tuff glass overlays across the front of the riser.  The limb plates are cut and ground on a precise angle to bolt the limb in place.  Felt is used on the riser where the limb is bolted down to silence limb creak and as a cushion between the riser and the limb.  The riser is precisely drilled and tapped to thread the insert and alignment pins in place.  The limb bolts have a 1” brass bezel with a rubber washer on them.  The rubber washer is a cushion for the for the Glass on the limb to keep it from cracking.  The riser sight windows are rounded and are cut 3/16” past center to maintain better arrow flight and to minimize obstruction of your view of the “The Big Buck”.  The limbs have four laminations in the limb core to ensure stability and enhance performance, plus two layers of Bo-Tuff fiberglass laminations for added strength.  These laminations are ground ultra-thin making it a very smooth limb.
