Bulino Engraved Mini Pry Opener by Ron Jr. Welcome to my auction. I'm a full time (and would like to think a fairly well known ;) scrimshaw and engraving artist. I have done and do work for some pretty famous clients and galleries and have worked with some of the best/top knife makers from around the world. My work has also been published/written up in Blade magazine a few times.... I designed and cut by hand this mini pry from 1/8" thick 416 stainless bar stock and then engraved a sexy beauty onto it. 416 stainless is pretty tough stuff but this mini pry has not been tempered and is basically for pretty and not meant for everyday/actual use. Bulino engraving is a very exacting and time consuming process that consists of looking through a stereo microscope or similar magnifying device and making thousands of tiny cuts in metal with a very precisely sharpened graver. The shadows created by each tiny cut in the metal are what makes the work visible. If the artist is patient and is good enough photo like quality on an incredibly small scale can be achieved using this method. Bulino engraving is hand cut into the actual metal and will not wash off. Special thanks to my fans and customers, without you none of this would be possible. THANK YOU!
