I love my husband. I really do....but he really has some grand ideas. In 2011, he purchased this beautiful machine. Grand total from REI came to $596. . His plan? He, or we, were going to hike all over the U.S.!He took this magnificent piece of technology out of the box. That's as far as it got.As a family, we hiked (without this device) in Harper's Ferry, WV one morning.... As we huffed and puffed up the mountain, three out of four of us with asthma, swatting at the gnats attacking our eyeballs in the nasty humidity, a little old lady with her walking stick sped past us. By the time we got up the mountain, I swore I was hiring a divorce attorney. Our daughter sat on a rock looking over all of Harper's Ferry and said, "How many times are my parents going to take me on yet another walk to gaze at another scenic overlook?"Yeah. Hiking isn't for us.We will continue to visit quaint little places by car and enjoy a gourmet lunch and drinks.... and we will continue to ride our horses that have built-in GPS.I can't tell you about this device except that is is unused and brand new. Our loss, your gain.
