DescriptionUp for consideration is a Coleman 200A Black band single mantle lantern dated 12-52. This lantern is in AWESOME condition and aside from a new cap seal and oiling the pump leather, the lantern is as found. This package also includes it's original box and users guide. Due to the condition of the lantern, the generator has not been serviced. The lantern has been tested and did hold pressure 9 hours over night. The lantern lights easily and maintains a steady burn. Asthetically, the lantern is in marvelous conditon with an excellent finish on the vent and all painted components. The globe has a nice green sunshine of the light logo and Pyrex on the opposite side. The burner base has nice color but has some slight bends around the opening for the valve. The fount has a beautiful red finish and the Coleman decal is also in excellent condition. As purchased the box appears to be original to the lantern. as seen in the photos it is a bit rough but again original to the lantern. The users guide is worn and spent years folded in half but is solid. Photos are an attempt to show all flaws but for buyer satisfaction here is a brief list of what has been observed. The vent has one very tiny chip on the upper portion as seen in the photos. There are light scratches on the vent just above the bale sockets. The green logos on the globe show some fading likely due to cleaning. The inside base of the burner cage does show a light patina. The burner cage base was a little bent at the opening for the valve. There are a few light scratches on the fount particularly around the filler cap. The finish is worn on the bottom of the founts rim. In conclusion, this lantern probably rates at 90% conditon. This is an awesome survivor that will make an excellent addition to a vintage Coleman collection.
