Francis Barker M73 Brass presentation compass, made in England to full military specifications. These liquid damped compasses are designed to operate to within half a degree in a temperature range from +55 degrees C. to -30 degrees C. All functions including the rotating bezel and lock screw are working correctly, it comes with the outer box, instruction leaflet and original receipt but unfortunately the inner box and carrying case are missing. The compass has an inscription on the back to Capt W Edgar commemorating 20 years with Malaysian Airlines, but this could be polished out if desired. Personally I find inscriptions like this add to the history of a piece. Please note that the laquer has laminated slightly on one side of the body, probably from over zealous cleaning, please see photo. Thanks for looking
