A low-cut men's alpine hiking shoe with a nubuck upper, GORE-TEX protection and a MICHELIN outsole.
GORE-TEX Upper The Wander Hiker GTX is a low-cut alpine hiking shoe with a durable 1.6mm nubuck leather upper which offers great durability and protection. Equipped with a GORE-TEX Extended Comfort Lining, it offers waterproof protection, breathability, and durability. The GORE-TEX membrane is completely water and windproof and at the same time allows sweat to pass through it. The membrane is formed by pores (over 9 billion pores per square inch) which are 20,000 times smaller than a drop of water, but 700 times larger than a water vapour molecule preventing water penetration and helping the skin breathe. The Wander Hiker GTX integrates patented technologies to offer all-day hiking comfort with a Flex Collar which increases the ankle's rear range of motion and comfort during descents, thanks to a curved shape that follows the plantar flexion of the ankle. GumFlate Midsole The Wander Hiker GTX is designed to offer comfort and protection for hiking adventures on mixed mountain terrain, such as rugged trails, mud, grass, and snow. At the heart of the shoe, the special cushioning foam of the Salewa GumFlate midsole which adapts to the ground on contact to offer greater comfort by reducing pressure under the foot. With an Ortholite insole, it offers the ultimate in comfort, cushioning and breathability. They solve the most common in-show problems by creating a cooler, drier and healthier foot environment with innovative technology. The midsole also features the trademark 3F Salewa which connects the instep area of the shoe with the sole and heel; ensuring flexibility, support, and the correct fit where it's needed. MICHELIN Outsole Fitted with a MICHELIN outsole which has a wide contact area to provide better grip and shock absorbency, while aggressive sculptures offer optimal stability and traction, while the MICHELIN Outdoor Compound rubber gives high durability and great grip.
