This 2nd Generation Benjamin marauder .22 caliber air rifle already shot precise groups when I got it; I installed an Audrius regulator and set it at 120bar (1750psi). Now this already accurate rifle shoots even better. I have it tuned to get 35 shots at 860 feet/second +/- 9fps. That's a consistency rate of better than 97%. At those speeds, a 14.3grain Crosman Premier pellet imparts approximately 23 fpe (foot pounds of energy)--plenty of power for posting rats, squirrels, foxes, raccoons, and even coyotes. Check out the chart in the pix. Just pump it up to 2900psi with your pump or scuba tank and you'll get 35 consistent accurate shots--plenty for a target session or varmint hike.
This baby likes Crosman Premier pellets, both domed and hollow-point. Walmart has the hollow points in stock for ~$7 per tin of 500; Amazon has the domed ones for ~$9 per tin of 500. I liked them both and at less than $.02/shot, you can't go wrong either way. I'm just an okay rifle shooter, and I can get dime-sized groups at 30 yards with this, and have bagged a hefty number of nuisance varmints at 15-50 yards with precision. I have never needed a full magazine on a hunt, but you can get 3 and a half magazines worth of precise, consistent shots with the tuning and regulator I put in. The trigger is currently set with a relatively-long first stage and a beautifully-crisp second stage, I'd estimate under 2 pounds to pull the trigger.
I also added a Shroud-extending LDC/moderator/silencer. It reduces the noise about 20 percent (my estimate). When you're holding the rifle, it sounds about as loud as dropping a boot on carpet, but from just 10 feet away, the report on a wooden or metal target 30 yards away is louder than the gun.
You can see on the stock there is some wearing of the finish from my hand, and a couple of dings and scratches on the stock, but the rifle shoots like a dream. I have been using a 4-12x44 scope, but the scope is NOT included. The only reason I'm selling is that I have the .25 caliber version, too, and my wife said I had to pick just one. This auction includes the rifle, a 10-round magazine (you can usually get them for $12-15 on Amazon), the Moderator/LDC/Silencer, a packet of cleaning pellets, and a partial tin of Crosman Premier Hollow-points (not in the picture).
