This listing is for a used Brunton Geo Transit Classic (5010) in the original box and pouch with the instruction manual.  This unit is supposedly one of their top-of-the-line models as it is waterproof and built to sustain the elements of nature with a highly durable aluminum billet construction.  It employs a rare-earth magnet on a sapphire bearing.  It's much more than your everyday compass as it can do the job of a surveyor's compass, prismatic compass, inclinometer, level, and plumb.  Full specifications for this unit can be found on Brunton's website.The compass shows minor signs of use (some fingerprints/smudges on the glass [washable], some light scratches on the retaining ring for that glass, some very light scuffs on the edges of the transit's aluminum body, trace amounts of what looks like rust on the inside of the main hinges.  All of the hinges are very solid and stable, yet easy to adjust.  The mirror is in very nice shape but it may need to be carefully cleaned as there are some particulates on it (dirt/dust from the elements or from the stack of round paper that stores on top of it).  The viewport/window just below the mirror is also in good shape but may need to be carefully cleaned.  The box shows more wear than does the transit itself, as it has significant foxing and scuffs.  All of the dials/text is in great shape and is fully legible.Please check out the images provided above if you have not yet done so!  Check out the to familiarize yourself with this unit if you so desire!  If there are reviews online, check those out as well.This unit will be packed with bubble-wrap and cardboard.  It will ship via USPS Priority Mail.
