This Special Auction is for a 1943 WWII Vapalux 300X Military Lantern. This Lantern was totally refurbished. It has all New, Gaskets, Glass, Vaporizer Cleaning Needle, Non Return Valve and Pump Leather. The Re-Spray is the Original WWII British Military " Lusterless Olive Drab " Contract # RAPCO-33070. The Hood on this WWII Vapalux has the Name model # and Manufactures Information around the Rim. The Wording is Readable, Crisp and Clear. The Black Enamel Hood Cap is New as the old one was rotted. The Frame is the Original one to This lantern and the collar has no information on it as they did not put them on the WWII Lanterns. The Burner is the Original one and was cleaned and polished. The Burner Burns Bright with a V-42 mantle . This Burner has the Old Hex type Air Intakes and works Perfect. The Vaporizer was cleaned and a New Cleaning wire was added. This Vaporizer puts out a Strong Jet of Kerosene. The Frame is the Original and is All Steel making it a Strong Frame. This WWII Vapalux 300X comes with a simple Pre-Heater with a Banded Wick as all WWII Lanterns did to save material for the War. The Tank on this 300X is all Steel as the Brass was needed for the War Effort. This Tank was primed inside and out so the steel is in excellent condition. This is a True War Lantern and was well used. It has some war marks on it but is in Overall excellent condition. It would be hard to find a WWII lantern in this good Condition. This Tank has the Large Fill Cap making Fill-ups Easy.This Special lantern would be the Perfect WWII Collector's Lantern. It would Look Great in any WWII Collection as it is a True Original.This Vapalux 300X Lantern is in Perfect working order.
