You will receive the exact Small Forest Axe by Gransfors Bruk with the Ray Mears logo that you see in the photos along with a full-grain leather sheath and the Gransfors Axe Handbook. The handle on this Small Forest Axe is beautiful and it is forged by Mattias Blixt-Pettersson - MB. Made with genuine hickory, the wood is darker in color which is a very good indication that it is made with heartwood. The wood's grain are long, straight, and parallel. All of these characteristics are sought out by those who know what to look for when buying an axe but these characteristics are often hard to find. This Small Forest Axe is truly Extra Special!Gransfors Forest Axes are made to be used in the forest for everything from felling large trees to limbing small logs. The Gransfors Bruk Small Forest Axe is a classic tool of the outdoors, and remains the best-selling model from the revered Gransfors range.
