JRD saddles are handmade with high quality materials and designed to optimize both the horse and rider’s comfort and performance. The laminated wood and steel tree offers flex and strength to keep the tree strong and maintain its shape which prevents pressure points above the horse's trapezius muscles. The saddles are shaped to provide optimal balance for both the horse and rider and help the rider sit correctly. JRD saddles are flocked with 100% wool so as not to add unwanted heat on the horse’s back (as synthetic fibers can). The flaps, thigh blocks and knee rolls also provide stability and allow the rider's legs to fall naturally and straight.
