Beautifully hand sewn Arabian Native Costume for both horse and rider, in the traditional, basic bedouin-style. Tassels are also handmade and securely attached on horse covering with heavy fishing line to allow for freedom of movement and enhancing the action of the horse. The horse covering is one piece and fits over saddle,can be either Western or English, leaving only the seat itself exposed, so rider does not lose contact with the saddle, and covers the saddle skirt and stirrup straps,so there is no slipping during movement. Heavy drapery fabric is used. The breast collar is attached with snap hooks. Bridle, brow band, poll piece and reins are all hand made. If you wanted to take this old traditional style costume and embellish with sequins and sparkle, it could be done very easily.Rider's costume is also hand sewn, size between 12 - 14, elastic waistband and around ankles. Material for rider costume is a lightweight jersey type and can be worn by either male or female. The robe(Aba) is also heavy drapery material and has a sheen to it,it's also lined. The headband(Agal) is hand made with yarn, so stretches to fit.The veil(Headscarf) is made of same fabric as pants and shirt.Rider costume and horse costume are sold together. Both were worn in one show only. Don't have show horses anymore. Rider's costume can also be used for Halloween or any masquerade party!
