The high nitrogen-alloyed special steel Cronidur 30 (hardness HRC 58-60) was developed in Germany and has proven itself in the most challenging air and aerospace industry. After extensive testing of hardness of bearing steel is selected by the American space agency and is successfully used in particularly claimed parts of the space shuttle. Cronidur 30 has improved Korrrosionsbeständigkeit one compared with comparable steels over 100 times, which extended the service life of the steel to the 5 times. The steel alloy is very fine grained, very well to resharpen and has a high elasticity with an excellent edge retention. The ideal blade steel for the new, high-quality outdoor knife series from the Boker knife manufactory.
