Bit is custom ordered and made by Mike Quick, marked Quick, I recently contacted Mike about it because I couldn't remember, here is what he said about the bit "This is a wire wrapped 268 ported snaffle, on 47 sterling silver cheeks. I believe it is closer to 30 years ago that this bit was made. We haven't made this bit for many, many years. The mouthpiece, both wire wrapped and without wire, is one of our best selling. It is a great all round bit. This was a very labor intensive bit to make, plus with the price of sterling silver, it would be way too expensive for most. We can make it on an aluminum engraved cheek, it isn't as heavy and doesn't have the wow factor." I've owned this bit since day 1. It is very heavy, Custom Order took 3 months. With port and cricket, broken on both sides of port. If you're looking for a show bit, this bit can be wrapped with sealtex to make it legal for AQHA shows. Shipping includes Insurance.
