Montane Fem Spine Women's Outdoor Jacket
Using Gore-Tex Active Shell 30 Denier fabric, the Spine Jacket offers weather protection for high output trail activities and has been developed with minimalist design features to reduce weight and enhance packability.
The Montane Women's Spine Jacket is a lightweight minimalist jacket that is ideal for moving at speed across difficult terrain. Whether you are trail running for the day or indulging in some seriously fast and lightweight backpacking in finer weather with the odd shower spell it is a great addition to your kit keeping you dry when you need it but lightweight and packable enough that you'll barely notice the weight difference when it's in your pack. The Spine Jacket is equipped with Gore-Tex Active which combines a lighter, thinner Gore-Tex membrane with fine denier performance textiles to deliver a durable waterproof fabric for very little weight. The proprietary lamination technology integrates the backer textile directly into the Gore-Tex membrane allowing for extreme breathability and excellent next to skin comfort. Engineered with a minimal placement of seams, using darts instead to tailor shape and articulation to reduce weight and bulk while it's tailored specifically to be worn over lightweight and a low bulk base layer or mid-layer. Constructed with a hood that has many different features such as its fitted trail design which fits closely over trail headwear and an adjustable face aperture with internal cord exits. The hood peak is laminated with provides a stable yet supple fit and with a mid-height collar, it will ensure protection when needed against cold weather conditions. To ensure extra protection against the elements, shaped hook tabs and loop adjustable cuffs with pre-elasticated allows easy cinching, keeping that cold air out. With a full front zip, it is equipped wth an internal storm flap behind the centre of the front zip for increased weather protection. All zips on the jacket are the YKK AquaGuard zips which provide substantial protection from the elements. These water resistant zips features a polyurethane laminated tape combined with Vislon technology; plastic moulded teeth to reduce weight and afford smooth and hassle-free operation. For comfort in those cold weather conditions, the rollover chin guard is lined with brushed fine microfleece which is comfortable next to the mouth and chin. Equipped with a zipped chest pocket with YKK matte AquaGuard zips which is designed to fit a GPS or mobile phone without bounce during movement. The ergonomic lightweight zip pullers make it easier to use when wearing gloves or mitts.
