Original vintage and rare OPTIMUS HIKER no111C primus stove, EXPEDITION/HIMALAYA
Estimated price for orientation: 400 $
Category: Camping Stoves
Class:
Description Type: Multifuel Style: Matt black original from factory Brand: Optimus Hiker no 111C Expedition stove Country/Region of Manufacture: Sweden MPN: 111C Expedition / Himalaya
I want to offer for auction a rare, hardly available Optimus Hiker stove: Vintage OPTIMUS HIKER no 111 C, also called Optimus Expedition or Himalaya. Made in Sweden.
(This time I will avoid to call the stove "Cobra", because of one feedback from a customer. In fact we use this name in Norway, but of course do not confuse with "Cobra Arctic")
This special stove was produced in a small quantity of Optimus for/used by the Norwegian Army only, in the very cold areas north of Norway, and they were not to be sold to public. However the Norwegian Army reject this model, because it has the regulation hole on the left side and the box have a low slit in bottom.Instead it has been sold to expeditions in polar and high mountain areas, Sivil Defence Dept. and in a few sport shops in Norway only.
This is the only model from Optimus Hiker 111, which has regulation hole on left side, except the newer model Hiker Plus.
Due to the special "low architect burner" (actually made for multifuel) and a very large preheat cup, the stove was specially fitted for extreme weather conditions.
The stove is at ease with working at high altitudes such as 6.000 m (approx 19.500 ft) and/in combine, temperatures down to -50 degree C.
Fitted with are 2 types of nozzles and a restrictor tube, nozzle A for alcohol and M for multifuel. The restrictor tube must always be used in combination with A nozzle for alcohol. The stove has multifuel nozzle as default. (for white gasoline and kerosene)I'll recommend high quality kerosene/paraffin only. Refer to detailed instruction manual in English enclosed.
A "must" in every collection of Hiker hundred-eleven's.
Tested with an used flame hood and gives a VERY POWERFUL blue flame. See my photos.
International Registered Airplane shipment from Norway cost $ 56.00 by Norway Postal Service with tracking number for your safety and insurance.
It is NOT possible to reduce shipping cost, but I can combine shipping.
Use PayPal. No guarantie nor return, because I'm a private seller. Buyer pays import taxes/fees, if any.Always look for my sign of quality:
"Optimus, last a lifetime"
