You are bidding on this very rare and incredibly-designed Garuda Pattar Tent in essentially NOS "New Old Stock" condition. I know this because I acquired it from a shop I worked with years ago and it was set up INDOORS ONLY a few times as a store demo to show customers. I had placed it inside my emergency earthquake kit, and forgotten about it for more than 10 years! It's NEVER been set up outside and shows no signs outside dirt or wear. (exception is one spot on tent body, shown, I didn't try to clean it. Bottom is clean, inside is clean, and the coating is in perfect shape. Even the Easton Aluminum poles are new. It still smells like a new tent (thats been in sack for 10 years or more).Please note, I didn't want to set this up outside, so the photos shown outside are of another Pattar Tent. The inside photos and detail photos are of the actual tent.This Garuda was originally designed by Byron Shutz, widely considered one of the best tent designers of the era. This model was made just prior to the re-branding and labeling of Garuda/Dana design, so sewn labels only show GARUDA with a red stripe. No chessboard on floor of tent, like Dana Design/Garuda version.This is a bombproof 4-season, 2+ to Three person tent. Plenty of room for 2. Fine for 3. It is their double-wall design featuring a lightweight, breathable tent body with a heavy-duty rainfly. Double door at each end, and a fabulous vestibule at each end- the larger front door using a separate vestibule pole for space and reinforcement. The floor is extremely well patterned, and has no or minimal seams touching the ground "bathtub" style wrapping and suspension off the ground. Lots of venting all around, interior pockets, and gear hammock mounting points.The tent is super easy to set up using two long poles, then color-coded poles at the front and rear to create a long or "semi" dome structure. Partial segmented pole sleeves with heavy nylon reinforcement. This tent is in mint condition, and includes the Tent Body, Tent Fly, Pole set, and stuff sack. No Manuals or floor stakes (shown in photo is how it will be shipped). Weight is roughly 8.5lbs (3.86 kg). I don't have a digital scale, so not exact.Please message me with any questions.
