The Syd Hill saddle is widely considered to be the finest Aussie saddle in the world. This is not a cheap "made in India" knock-off - this is the real deal. This is genuine Australian construction, made with beautiful leather and detailed stitching. Please check the photos for measurements. I measured the saddle from the front stitching on the pommel to the inside edge of the seat back. However, this saddle has a deep seat (very secure) so it may feel a bit tighter than a 16" seat. This kind of panel is self adjusting, which means the saddle fit keeps improving with each and every ride, until it has conformed to the shape of your horse. This kind of panel will sit higher on the horse when new, but will lower when the panel begins to conform to your horse. The stuffing in Syd Hill Collection Saddles is an acrylic flock and it is unlikely that you will ever need to reawl or restuff a saddle that uses acrylic flock in the panel. A serge panel saddle is best suited for horses with medium to higher withers, and is ideal for the majority of horses.
