This is believed to be a 1948/49 transition era Bear Archery Deerslayer. It is in exceptional shape for its age, as far as I know is all original. It is a Grumley design, however it is unclear if it was made by Nels Grumley as this was about the time Grumley left bear archery. However an incredible  piece of archery history. This information about the bow has all been confirmed by representatives at Bear Archery.
