It kills me to sell this headstall. It's been in our family for years, and I've been winning shows in it since I was 5 years old. There are no headstalls made like this anymore. All silver pieces are Vogt and solid Sterling silver. The accent stones throughout the headstall are genuine sapphires. It has a ton of bling and glitz! It includes late rosettes with sapphires, Chicago screws with sapphires, and cheek pieces with sapphires. Also has an ear loop with sapphires. Really just the most beautiful headstall you've seen. The leather is soft and supple; in great condition. One eared headstall. Large silver pieces where bridle adjusts, silver down the sides, even silver screw tops. This is a true collectors item, or wear it in the show ring and WIN! Kangaroo Rommel reins with lots of silver available in another auction (also vintage). "YM" mildly engraved on inside of cheek piece. My mothers initials. See pic-- can't see at all unless you look inside the headstall and really look for it. Like I said, it pains me to sell this because I know I won't ever be able to replace it. But my parents have fallen on hard times and desperately need the money. You can't go wrong with this headstall. Hold on to it and it's worth will go up and up. Measures 19 inches from poll to bottom where bit attaches. (Adjustable). Horse or Arabian size. Pics of it are on my Morgan. I used it to show my quarter mare and Arab gelding (that had a biggish head). I hope someone loves it as much as I do! **bit is not included in this sale**
