No damage to tree, only very minor cosmetic damage, as you would expect for the age
Always stored inside, cleaned after each use, stored with a dust cover on Excellent saddle and I wouldn't be selling except that my boy has finally outgrown it and needs a much wider saddle now. :( Super comfortable, you could ride in it all day!
