These are rare to come by, and certainly not for this price - new saddles fo for over $5,000 - and for good reason, Butet is one of the best saddle makers in the world.
The leather is in good condition, thick and soft. This saddle still has many many good years left in it. The leather in Butet saddles is top quality, so it keeps it's softness and with normal care will never resemble one of those hard old creaky saddles!
Butet saddles are all handcrafted and are part the group I consider the top elite french saddle manufacturers : Childeric, Antares, Devoucoux, CWD, and Delgrange. My opinion (although I know many other professionals who agree with me) is that these five manufacture the best luxury saddles in the world. Butet saddles are known for their great fit, and incomparable comfort.
I live in France, and am selling this saddle from here (even though I was not able to put in the correct postal code in my listing). I have a long experience shipping saddles, and will send it well packed and insured. have sold numerous saddles on ebay, and have always had very satisfied customers. I will ship anywhere :) I do not accept returns unless the item was not as described, so please know your size in Butet saddles before bidding!
This Butet saddle is in good used condition. The cantle has some scratches and there are some sweat stains under the saddle that would probably come out with a good oiling. The rest of the wear is normal for an older saddle.Numbers under the flap are as follows (see picture): L 17 3 322 94
