BDry Membrane Upper The upper of the Oboz Madison BDry 7" Insulated Women's Walking Shoes is constructed with a waterproof nubuck leather and a highly abrasion resistant textile which ensures durability and support. Fitted with Oboz BDry which keeps the feet dry through creeks, mud, rain and sweat thanks to the three key components. The crux is Oboz's proprietary tape-sealed polyurethane film bootie, which waterproofs shoes but still lets sweat escape, secondly, all of Oboz's BDry shoes come with hydrophobic upper materials, meaning the rest of the shoe won't absorb water. Finally, the textile lining inside BDry boots wicks sweat away, so feet stay dry from the inside out. To keep you feeling warm throughout the cold winter months, the walking shoes are developed with Thinsulate Insulation which is the smartest choice if staying warm is important to you. The unique microfibres of Thinsulate insulation are about ten times smaller than the fibres of other synthetic insulations, which means they're much more efficient at trapping air and much more effective at keeping you warm. It also means they can pack many more of them into the same space, where they reflect back more of your body's radiant heat.
BFit Thermal Midsole Every pair of Oboz comes outfitted with a supportive, quality insole - on par with premium aftermarket insoles, but engineered just for our shoes. Without proper support, feet tend to pronate and elongate with every step - fine you're barefoot, but not so good inside shoes, where friction can create blisters. With support from our biomechanically engineered insole, though, feet stay neutral for every step. This means less friction inside the shoe, and a better fit all around.
