It is also waterproof, it can send 160 letter text messages with GPS coordinates to cell phone numbers or email addresses worldwide, and post updates to facebook and twitter. The device also has a built in SOS feature where you can communicate with a 24/7 search and rescue monitoring center. The reason I am selling this is because I already have a gps and this has been sitting out in the hunting room for a few years. It has never been used, the box has been opened and the box is a little damaged but the contents inside are perfectly fine. It needs to be activated to be used. I don't believe it has any gps navigating features, only GPS coordinates for messages and sos. The only thing missing from the original contents of the box is the lanyard.
