***Vintage MSR StormKing 5-Person 4-Season tent bomber MOSS SWEET***

“MSR strength in a bomber basecamp design”. Up for auction is a used MSR StormKing tent. This is the Big Dipper design from Moss Tents when MSR bought them out. This is the largest 4-Season tent that they make and new ones are close to $1000. This is probably the most bomber 4-season tent for basecamping ever made. This is a great tent for rock climbing base camp or mountaineering. It has tons of mesh for ventilation, but can be zipped up with solid nylon all the way around to keep out the cold. It would also be great for tent festivals in Japan. There is plenty of room for 4 people and 5 therm-a-rests can fit inside. The picture next to the MSR Zoid 2 (for sale in a different auction) is to show just how large this tent truly is.
This is an early 2000s model. It was a program tent that did not see much use, but someone stored it wet and it has some stains from mildew. The affected areas are mainly on the red pole sleeves, but there are some other areas too. I have not tried to clean it yet. I have sold some high end tents like this before and usually set them up and clean with Dawn and potentially soak in Mirazyme. The temperatures are too cold for me to do that right now. I think it needs some light cleaning and airing out. This is not a NOS tent or in perfect condition. It is used. There are a few defects beyond the mildew stains. These include: 1 pole section has a small crack in it, there is a small patch in the tent body of approximately 2”x2”, the storage bag one of the straps is broken, and the fly is getting a little sticky. They fly is not delaminating, just a little sticky from storage. Buy this tent to use it and go to amazing places with a bunch of friends.
