This is a new Stamford model saddle which was made by Beval for many years as their entry level (price wise) saddle. Beval's suggested retail was $950 on this model. It features a wider seat and was offered like the Gladstone and other Beval saddle models only in "full" sizes....so a 16 inch seat nicely fits someone that would normally be riding in or comparing another brand of a 16 or 16 1/2. This saddle has a medium size tree, padded flaps and knee block(see photos). Over the years as a Beval dealer, we sold lots and lots of this model saddle and never had any complaints because it is a well made saddle coming from a company that knows the needs and wants of riders. They are beautiful saddles that hold up well for many, many years.Note: Beval introduced the New Stamford not long ago which retails new at $1695...this is not that Stamford model of saddle...this one is the predecessor. FYI...the Stamford model name has been used by Beval on various generations of saddles over the past 40 years or so....just to clear up any confusion.
