Description
INFO DATACOLORS PHOTOS DOWNLOADS General The standards which positioned the original ARCUS in the all-round and beginner category have taken the worldwide paraglider market in a new direction. The ARCUS was the first glider to see the DHV 1-2 category accepted by large numbers of pilots. At SWING we have taken considerable time over replacing this proven glider. The result of this careful development is the ARCUS 3. Outstanding features The ARCUS 3 has the same features which made the original ARCUS renowned. Sound development work has given the ARCUS 3 defined and more sensitive handling, a reduced tendency to overshoot on launch and increased performance at higher speeds. Target market No changes have been made to the formula for success. For this reason, given its classification, the Arcus 3 is best suited for ambitious beginners and the social pilot. The ARCUS 3 is a reliable and highly competitive glider for pilots who want to meet the challenges presented by thermalling and distance flying, without placing themselves under any stress. Flight behaviour The speed potential offered by the Arcus 3 allows not only greater enjoyment while flying, but also greater safety reserves if conditions deteriorate. The handling of the ARCUS 3 gives it agile and responsive flight behaviour in all situations. The ARCUS 3 is easy to launch, regardless of the technique used, and it has no tendency to shoot forward. Workmanship HHigh-quality products require high-quality workmanship and materials. Here too SWING offers the highest standard possible. SWING paragliders were created using computer-generated images with the greatest accuracy possible. Silicone-coated Perseverance PN 6 fabric (44g/m²) was used for the top surface, which guarantees durability. SWING has been using lines from LIROS for years and these are becoming the standard in the paragliding industry. Technical Details Not only is SWING working on new and innovative products but it is also working intensively on improving its own development concepts. Constant adjustments to our CAD application give us more and more informative data and analyses during a paraglider's development phase. Reducing the time needed for this design phase gives the development team more time to fine tune the equipment. The ARCUS benefits from the latest innovations and will again set standards, following the example of its predecessor.
