The Alpha SV Jacket by ARCTERYX is the most durable Gore-Tex® Pro jacket for severe alpine environments with N80p-X face fabric and features for climbers and alpinists.The Alpha SV was created to address the need for a lightweight, streamlined, waterproof jacket that could work with a harness and withstand the severity of alpine terrain and climate conditions.Hardwearing, stripped down and unlike anything else at the time, the Alpha SV was introduced in 1998 and quickly became an icon.It still stands as an essential hardshell for any serious alpine, rock or ice climber willing to brave extreme conditions.I bought this jacket for my wife and it fits a treat - she is a Size 8 (UK)This is a very fitted jacket and looks great, but is only suitable for the more petite women.Unfortunately having tried the jacket on and appearing initially happy, its lack of use told me she wasn't 100%.In short; she didn't like the colour because it didn't go with the theme she has with her other outdoor attire.I tried to return it but was unfortunately outside the 30 days. I have set a low reserve and hope to recover half of the cost minimum.Get yourself a bargain - this gear is considered among the best on the market (it thus attracts silly prices). Hopefully I can find a new one for half-price in the correct colour?This is a new jacket and will include the original labels etc. This jacket is £600 on the Arc'Tyrex website.
