This auction is for a Western Mountaineering Kodiak Microfiber down sleeping bag in the 6’-6” size with the overfill option. The temperature rating without the overfill is a very conservative 0 degrees. With the overfill, it is probably good to minus 10 degrees. It comes with the stuff sack and storage bag. It has been hung in an interior closet in the storage bag from a smoke free home. I have had it about three years and it is in absolutely perfect condition. I bought it with plans to do more winter backpacking but a knee injury has limited my backpacking plans. I really can’t call it new (in the interest of full disclosure) since I used it for two nights in an unheated cabin in the Whites. I wore fresh layers and clean socks while sleeping in it. It was used on a bunk and not on the ground. It really is in perfect condition and hard to tell from new. With my knee issues, I don’t see myself using this bag in the future as it is a serious winter bag and too warm for casual three season camping. I have decided to put it up for auction rather than let it gather dust. To be honest, I don’t remember what the fill power on this bag is (and I have lost the tags). I have had it about three years if that is any help and I bought it new. This is the microfiber version so it is more breathable than the goretex shells. This bag currently sells for $695.00. The overfill was probably an extra $35: or $40.00. This is a chance to get it for much less.
