EVAN HECOX SUN SERIES - 2002, from Chocolate Skateboards. Evan Hecox's, "Sun Series", is considered by many to be one of Hecox's finest graphic series ever created. Put together as a series, it's palpable to see why this series has long captivated its viewer. The sun rises at one end ascends to mid day and then descends to sunset while the color schemes simultaneously allude to the changing colors of the sky over the course of a day. Evan Hecox is well known for his work for Chocolate Skateboards having produced more than three hundred skateboard graphics since 1997. Evan's aesthetic has been virtually synonymous with good skateboard design from the mid 90's forward. His participation in the seminal Beautiful Losers exhibitions and his involvement with both the Mission Street School and Aaron Rose's Alleged Gallery help cement his position in the skate art / design world. His 'flat' graphic style is one of the most copied styles in contemporary culture. There are (6) Models in this series, this is the complete series:Scott Johnston (blue), Chico Brennes (lt blue), Mike York (Green), Richard Muldar (yellow), Kenny Anderson (Orange), Gino Iannucci (red). The set is in really great condition, but the red Gino Iannucci Model has some fade. Also some of the original plastic wrapping stuck to the paint on the yellow Richard Muldar board. All top decks are Green except the Mike York is Orange and the Richard Muldar top deck is yellow. All boards have with Red Chocolate box logo on top and tail of underside.I bought this new and hung in my studio for a couple of years, but it has been boxed for about 10 years or so now. This rare collectors series will only increase in value. I WILL ONLY SELL AS THE COMPLETE SERIES. Please contact to request additional info or photos.Serious bidders only.
