This jaw dropping headstall came to me with the BohlinMade bit I have in another auction but upon close inspection ALL but the browband conchos on this headstall are marked Keystone Bros, California, Sterling. The browband conchos are phenomenal as well and appear to have been "made to order" to match the Keystone Bros. They are marked Irvine & Jachens Inc. and Sterling Silver and nearly 2" across. If you look them up on the internet you can get their history and provenance. They are located in California as well. All Eight of the Keystone Bros matching, undented conchos are 1.5" across and appear to all be in excellent, not overly polished condition. The screwbacks cover a portion of their stampings on each one. One you can see Key then the OS at the end for Bros. C on one side and A on the other for California Then an S and an NG for Sterling. The screwbacks all land dead center of the markings so you see only beginnings and ends of those words and in that order. You can see some portion of the stamping on all of them confirming they are Keystone Bros, California, Sterling. The GIANT center concho is definitely Keystone Bros tho I cannot remove it and is much darker than it appears in pictures. I love the patina and everyone else that owned this piece obviously did too. The raised horse head is done in 10k gold as per my jewelers confirmation. It's a huge 2.5" across and is a real statement piece. Picture 5 shows how it completely FILLS my entire hand. The leather is unmarked but the Keystone buckles and center piece being sewn in testify to its quality as well. All leather headstalls should be of this quality, it's spectacular and appears to have never once been on a horse. The inside of the leather is as pretty and soft as the outside of the leather and definitely looks even better in person. The only flaw is at the base of the replaceable throatlatch, shown in pic 12. What you see is what is damaged, the rest of the throatlatch is in excellent condition. This is the wall hanger of all wall hangers and will only continue to increase in value as the conchos age even more. You will LOVE THIS HEADSTALL! PAYPAL only please. I ship within 24 hours of a paid invoice on the very next business day. This item will be shipped fully insured and a required signature upon delivery. I will cover those additional cost at no charge to you. So, FREE SHIPPING!!Sorry, no international bidding on this item.
