A Rare find!! Beautiful pleasure, endurance or trail saddle!! Great long-distance saddle - has been used for endurance riding. 15" Seat. Made by a premier maker of custom saddles - Sky Horse Saddlery. These are not only a wonderful saddle but a work of art! This was built for an Arabian breeder and all tooling and the conchos used his logo of the Arabian head. Conchos are sterling and resin - there are 6 of them and they are stunning! Their signature Kangaroom braiding is on the cantle and also as a bonus, all around the skirts. I contacted Sky Horse and Lisa let me know this was approx 25-30 years old and she even commented on the extra braiding! I bought it from the original owner it was built for. He took amazing care of it!! They have built about 900 saddles over 40 years - so not a lot of these around! Has wonderful flexible rigging! An endurance trail saddle built today by Sky Horse starts at $6500 as per their website. Lovely Black padded Leather seat - lots of cushion in the seat. Tree is sound. Fleece is in excellent shape underneath. Includes all rigging - Rigging on this saddle is for an english girth. Regular english irons - awesome on the feet and knees while also lightweight! Saddle has some scratches and rubs from normal trail use. All leather on this saddle including stirrup fenders, rigging is in great shape - no cracks or crazing anywhere. Nothing on this saddle has been repaired or replaced. Only thing to note is that there is some water spotting on the jockey area. I believe this came from when it was used as an endurance saddle and not from actually anything spilling on it. The owner took great care of it. But perhaps when it was new and fairly untreated, rain or dew fell on it? From most angles, it is not really noticeable - tried to take it from the most noticeable and closeup angle to show it at it's most noticeable.
