This pressure lamp came from an Amish farm here in PA. My husband loves to collect pressure lamps and bought it several years ago. We are dairy farmers and the milk price is horrible, so my husband and I picked a few things from our collections to sell to make ends meet. (Google what the farmer gets paid for milk...someone is making a lot of money, but it is not the farmer!) I really didn't want my husband to sell this, but when it comes down to it I guess it is just stuff, right? It is a WONDERFUL Tilley lamp! It needs a new mantle, but besides that it is in working order. We have used it at night to take the kids on nighttime walks--it is a great lantern! I am not an expert on the lamps, that's my husband's department, so if you have any questions let me know and I will ask him. I used all 12 photos to show all the markings and condition so please look them over with zoom before bidding. Pic 9 I am showing the instructions on the side and below the instructions it is marked with W.F. SHIVELY COMPANY PITTSBURGH PA--DISTRIBUTORS FOR THE A.W. THACKER CO. The lantern can be used to 3 ways: just to set down on a table (it has a sturdy base), be carried/utilized with handle or hung on a wall--as seen in last photo. Pic 11, the next to the last photo, shows how it can swing out too.
