It has an AMO length of 54" and a draw weight of 48# @ 28". In field testing, I found the bow to be extremely accurate, smooth to draw, with fast release, and virtually no hand shock. Matched with my vertical grain, Douglas fir arrows - and one of my custom built Flemish twist strings - its an unbeatable combination for almost any shooting situation. Oh yeah, it's kind of pretty, too - don't you think? The Ziricote veneer on the bow back is especially striking, making this bow naturally camouflaged. The Padauk on the riser will eventually settle into a deep plum color.The Doan Difference: The Doan Archery shop is situated in an old winery building, nestled in the Santa Cruz Mountain range foothills west of Morgan Hill, CA. The bowyer, Don Doan, has crafted fine, custom furniture for 40 years. He has been a life-long archer. Doan has a fully equipped wood shop - suited for a wide-range of wood products, but now designs and crafts archery products, exclusively. We have more than 10 bow presses - all CAD-designed and cut on a CNC router. Doan bows reflect the kind of craftsmanship that comes from a lifetime of working with wood and a mind-set that demands excellence. Our bows also reflect an appreciation for our customer's values. Doan new and vintage bows - as well as arrows, bowstrings, and accessories - are sold through our newly revised website and shop - and our eBay store.
