Stretching 86" in length, the interior of the Nitro 2P is 52" wide and offers plenty of room for sitting with 47" of height. Providing 29 square feet of interior space, the Nitro 2P offers ample room for a two backpackers. Guying out the fly creates a compact vestibule of 6.5 square feet to lend protected gear storage just beyond the tent's oversized easy-entry dual doors. NOTE: The Nitro 2P tent is not freestanding and does require a trekking pole for setup (not included). Integrated color-coded and reflective guyout points, obvious anchor points and included guylines do, however, make the Nitro 2P easier to erect than it may seem at first. DAC NFL “foot strut” and “ridge strut” poles are also included to provide additional structural support. The mesh walls in the Nitro 2P work with venting in the fly and at the foot to allow for plenty of ventilation in hot or humid weather and also help to combat condensation when the temperature is cooler. The weatherproof bathtub-style floor protects the interior of the Nitro 2P from the elements. Both the floor and fly are seam taped. Additionally, the catenary cut floor helps to keep the side seams of the Nitro 2P tent away from the ground in wet weather. Further features found in the Nitro 2P include jingle-free nylon zipper pulls, interior pockets for organization of small gear and a lamp shade pocket meant to hold a headlamp and provide ambient interior lighting.
