The updated Quest 4D 2 retains outstanding stability and grip, with a more ergonomic tongue for improved comfort, laces that remain tied and refreshing new design.
GORE-TEX Performance Comfort Footwear GORE-TEX when incorporated within footwear offers optimal heat retention, keeping you dry and comfortable when combating outdoor activities. Further technology attached under the GORE-TEX® umbrella includes keeping you dry on the outside, preventing water from prohibiting the outer construction.
Upper - Robust and Supportive Structure. The upper of the Salomon Women's Quest 4D 2 Gore-Tex shoe is constructed with a quality full-grain leather material which ensures for longer wear and durability. Parts of the upper is also made with 3D mesh that coincides with the abrasion resistant lining that allows for excellent breathability, comfort, and quick drying. Supplemented with water resistant qualities, the boot repels water keeping you dry. Due to the high profile of the boot, ankle support and stability is improved increasing the protection afforded by the construction. The material bridge connects the gusseted tongue to the upper which eliminates debris from entering the shoe, keeping the shoe a more comfortable environment for the feet.
Midsole - Flexible and Cushioned Compound. Supporting mile after mile of trekking, Moulded EVA lines the midsole - an industry leader on good merit, EVA is both light and flexible, with a great disposition as a cushioning material. The midsole also features an EVA shaped footbed which also provides excellent cushioning and anatomically designed support so your feet can sit comfortably for longer. Teamed with the EVA midsole, an OrthoLite sockliner creates a cooler, drier, healthier and better-cushioned environment under the foot. Equipped with 4D advanced chassis which ensures foot control and protection with active comfort provided through a stable chassis construction that works together with two different midsole components. Fitted with heel foam which improves comfort around the heel area to provide maximum comfort to the wearer while the heel strap ensures improved support and a secure, snug fit.
Outsole - Super Sticky Traction and Control. Protection is granted to the wearer simultaneously through utilizing rubber in both the toe cap and heel cap, perfect for taking on treacherous terrains. The outsole employed is designed specifically to deliver a greater purchase underfoot on a range of differing terrains, whether that be mountainous terrains or leafy treks. Salomon's Contragrip outsoles use the ideal combination of specialised rubbers for each specific use.
