~~~~~ We have DOZENS of name-brand hang gliders in stock... ...contact us if you have questions about this glider, or any other glider. (262) 903 - 8800 for questions and/or live tech support. ~~~~~~~ You MUST be at least a USHGA / USHPA Novice (Hang 2) rated hang glider pilot (or foreign equiv.) to purchase this hang glider...or your Hang Gliding Instructor must be willing to accept it on your behalf. Sorry, but your bid will be CANCELLED and the item will be RE-LISTED otherwise. If you're not qualified, and/or don't yet have an instructor, please don't bid !!! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ What an incredible deal on a hard to find NEAR ZERO HOURS Vision Mark IV! ~~~ *Please note: It has some COSMETIC BLEMISHES. ~~~ The Pacific Airwave Vision Mark IV is a popular, tried-and-true Novice hang glider model that rivals the Sonic, the Eagle, the Vision Pulse, the Sport 2, the Liberty, the Malibu, and all the current Novice-level double-surface hang gliders that today retail for $4,000+. The Mark IV was also sold as the Airwave Calypso in the UK. This gorgeous Vision Mark IV 17 (168 square feet) came into my possession recently. It's in extremely good condition*, with almost zero hours of set-up time and almost zero hours of flight time. The bright yellow undersurface and the white main body of the sail are still as crispy & plastic-y as the day the glider came out of the factory. The bright white trilam leading edge cloth is in excellent condition, except for some discoloration which occurred during long term storage. HISTORY: The first owner was a student pilot who bought it brand new from his instructor/dealer, but never actually flew it. He set it up a few times and ran with it, and then stored it indoors for quite a few years before deciding to sell it. The second owner was a student pilot too, taking lessons under the same instructor. He bought it about 10 years ago. He also only set it up and ran with it a few times. He actually flew it on 2 or 3 occasions (Hang 2 level mountain flight, light wind, no soaring, good landings). On all of his landings, he landed on his feet and never dropped the glider. The nose cone has never been bonked into the ground, and is clean, unscuffed, and unblemished (except for some minor stains). And that’s it! That’s the whole history of this glider. It’s never been crashed or even bonked hard. It’s got less than one hour of gentle use on it and both owners took care to not leave it set up in the sun when not in use. THE COSMETIC BLEMISHES: I’m not sure what caused the blemishes. They appear to be water/mineral discoloration. At some point during the storage of this glider, it may have gotten damp, and if that’s what caused these discolorations, then it only occurred on the part of the leading edge cloth that was closest to the floor. The cloth is strong and intact, with no signs of delaminating. The discoloration is found only along the lowest few inches of a portion of the leading edge panels (and a spot or two on the nose cone) but nowhere else on the glider. Your guess is as good as mine as to what caused it. However, I have inspected it carefully and test-flown the glider, and I can say that I am 100% confident that it is a cosmetic blemish only, and does not affect the structure, integrity, or safety of the glider in any way. It’s just unsightly, that’s all. And it’s up to you to decide whether you can be happy owning and flying this glider with these small areas of discoloration. The frame, cables, and sail all look almost as new as the day the glider was built by the factory. The battens are all perfectly clean, straight, and without wear. The right & left wingtip areas of the sail are very clean, with no wear. The coverbag looks good, but shows some blotches and scuffs from storage and moving. ~~~ Why pay $4,000.00+ for a brand-new Novice glider when you can buy this near-ZERO HOUR Novice glider for less than half the price?
