ANTIQUE XVII/XVIII CENTURY, HANDFORGED, COLONIAL; IRON & SILVER HORSE BIT, SPANISH/ MOORISH INFLUENCE Antique XVII/ XIII century, handforged iron, jointed mouth horse bit bridle snaffle. High quality workmanship with inlaid silver. The piece was lavishly decorated with a variety of geometric motifs Entirely handmade item, complete with all component parts. It Spanish influenced work (with probably Moorish influence too), would have been used for South American gauchos or Spanish conquerors.
Original, very good used condition, considering age; it has some moderate to severe surface rust, and some minimum pitting. No any marks. This is an extremely rare find!
