Perfect for backcountry travel or for off-the-grid living near streams and rivers. Boaters can use it too. Really anyone with access to running water now has access to affordable, reliable hydro-electric power in a portable, lightweight form factor. I helped to fund its development as a Kickstarter.com project that raised $200,000 and got this eco-friendly water turbine charger through development and into early production.

In return for my early funding I received one of the first production units. Alas I no longer have my boat so I don't need this hydro charger for backup phone/tablet charging. These are in very short supply and this seems to be the only one ever listed on eBay. It is a beautifully designed unit that comes packed in a practical neoprene 'wetsuit' sleeve for cushioning and portablilty when damp. The unit's solid engineering and innovative design is obvious. When you can get them these sell for $339 plus shipping there is a long lead time from the factory. I waited over 6 months. I am willing to part with mine for $290 with free shipping to ConUS or globally if you use eBay's Global Shipping program.
