These are rare to come by, and certainly not for this price - new saddles go for over $5,000 - and for good reason, CWD is one of the best saddle makers in the world.
The leather is in good condition, thick and soft. This saddle still has many many good years left in it. The leather in CWD saddles is top quality, so it keeps it's softness and with normal care will never resemble one of those hard old creaky saddles!
CWD saddles are all handcrafted and are part the group I consider the top elite french saddle manufacturers : Butet, Childeric, Antares, Devoucoux, and Delgrange. My opinion (although I know many other professionals who agree with me) is that these five manufacture the best luxury saddles in the world. CWD saddles are known for their great fit, and incomparable comfort.
I live in France, and am selling this saddle from here (even though I was not able to put in the correct postal code in my listing). I have a long experience shipping saddles, and will send it well packed and insured. have sold numerous saddles on ebay, and have always had very satisfied customers. I will ship anywhere :) I do not accept returns unless the item was not as described, so please know your size in CWD saddles before bidding!
The saddle is in great used condition. You can see that the previous owner took care of it and used it rather rarely. The girth straps have just been professionnally replaced by Devoucoux Sellier and are brand new. Beside a few marks on the cantle, there are no flaws. Comes with a padded saddle cover (not pictured). Otherwise the pictures speak for themselves :) Saddle Size is a true 17″ Numbers under the flap are as follows (see picture): SE 0217 TR 2C PL 08 4223.
