Made in: USAThe Trail Buddy is a new hunter in our Professional Series. This classic blade has its roots in the 1914 design of George W. Brooks, the editor in chief of ‘The Outer Book’ (Pre Forest & Stream). Brooks designed the original and Webster Marble produced it as their Woodcraft. Our Trail Buddy is Mike Stewart’s version of that design. The point has been lowered and the banana like relationship of the handle and blade has been removed, giving it a more modern and streamlined look that has an even better cutting belly. Its point is also more in the center line of the knife. We have further made our version full tang and give it our Professional Series Handle style. The end result is a compact, light, and fast handling general purpose hunter/skinner that reflect the purpose of the original design by G. W. Brooks. We are confident that he would have love Mike Stewart’s version of the design. This knife comes in A-2, a hearty, resilient, and very durable tool steel, that is sure to last you a lifetime. The pouch sheath for the new trail buddy is very unique. The knife fits left or right handed and also can be used strong side or cross-draw. It also has the eyelet spacing to be part of our modular piggyback system. The Trail Buddy is supplied with the Trail Buddy sheath. However, it can also be matched with the Double Pocket sheath as well. - This would make a great addition to any collection! -
