Fabulous and rock steady pyramid tent of the famous Dutch tent maker De Waard, probably the best tents on this planet. De Stormvogel is a very nice and sturdy looking storm pyramid. It is a well sold tent, very popular among Dutch campers and other De Waard fans. It is actually a spacious 2 man, but 3 will find every space they need as there is lots of standing height. The fantastic sidepanels and the versatile varioluifel double the inside space, so this tent is very suitable for families in case the older kids sleep in their own tent! The awning space takes 4 persons easily! I am going to camp in a Stormvogel this year with 3 adolescents!!!So space and standing height, but a reasonable footprint though so you can set it up on a 5 x 8,5 m pitch easily. The tent is 10 years old, no repairs or defects, 20 weeks on the clock, very well maintained and looked after so lots and lots of life left in it! So in a perfect condition, side panels are discoloured, and you will definately find a few smaill stains, but nothing bad. The tent has the WDR (Water and Dirt Resistant canvas,used since 2003) It is an expensive tent, yes, and you definately need to spread the costs over the years, but it then really pays and you will have a safe, rock steady, water and wind proof tent. If you tighten it well , it doesn't even flap in the wind! So stands up against any weather. Thick canvas and firm pvc groundsheet: really cosy both during warm and chilly circumstances.
