To enable users of the live-blade P'Kal to safely practice and develop their skills, Spyderco offers this purpose-designed P'Kal Trainer. Mechanically identical to its live-blade counterpart, it features a blunted, skeletonized 440C stainless steel blade that matches the weight and balance of the sharpened version. It also includes Spyderco's Trademark Round Hole and a removable Emerson Opening feature to allow practice of rapid one-handed blade deployment, either manually or by hooking the Emerson feature on the pocket during the draw. The P'Kal Trainer's handle is constructed of stainless steel liners and bright red G-10 laminate to clearly identify it as a training tool. Like the live blade, it features an improved version of Spyderco?s patented Ball Bearing Lock and a reversible steel wire clip for left or right-side tip-up carry.
